Lindsay (she/her) is a full spectrum doula with a passion for supporting families through birth, postpartum, and all pregnancy outcomes. Her training with Life Cycles Doulas, Cornerstone Trainings, and Birthing Advocacy Doula Trainings has provided her with the guidance to support and serve all birthing individuals in a non-biased manner that is rooted in judgement-free care. She believes in actively listening to her clients, supporting their decisions, and advocating for their wants, needs, and desires. It is her goal to help all pregnant individuals feel empowered to make the best decisions for themselves and the type of medical care they wish to receive. Most recently, Lindsay earned certification as a pre/postnatal fitness specialist through PROnatal Fitness. With this knowledge, she plans to help her clients prepare for birth, as well as postpartum recovery, in a safe, healthy, and mindful way. Lindsay started down her path to become a doula while providing support for one of her closest friends through their pregnancy and postpartum. It was during that period of time that she realized the importance of supporting new parents and providing them with a safe village throughout their journey to parenthood. Birth Doula Services
After 2 traumatic births, I was left terrified to ever have another baby. When I unexpectedly became pregnant for a third time, we knew we would need the extra support to gain any hope of a positive birth experience. Lindsay gave me (and my husband) the confidence, knowledge and support we needed to do just that. I can’t believe I can look back at our final birth and only have amazing, lovely, beautiful memories and associations. I would not have been able to get there if it wasn’t for Lindsay. From our initial consultation, to our final postpartum visit, from taking care of my sweet babies when I could not, to answering my many texts/questions/anxieties, she was nothing short of amazing. We can not thank her enough!!
In-person support: Consistent phone support leading up to the birth. Text messages, phone calls, and Facetime are acceptable forms of communication during pregnancy, pre-labor. 1 prenatal visit. My birthing companion will discuss a birth plan that reflects myself and my partner’s needs and desires. My birthing companion will be available to show myself and my partner pain-coping techniques, birthing positions, and guidance towards resources upon my request. 12-hour support through labor and birth. $25/hour if 12-hour support is exceeded. 1 hour of support immediately after birth. 1 postpartum visit within 10 days of the baby’s birth.
Postpartum Doula Services
Lindsay, you have this incredible way of bringing light and joy into a room, while still honoring the depth of struggle someone is experiencing. With this pregnancy, nothing was certain. I was terrified, sick, and anxious. I worried about this baby in every possible way and you were present through all of it. You were a sounding board, a reassuring presence, and a literal shoulder to cry on - far above and beyond your Doula responsibilities. When our entire plan went out the window, you smiled and said "Ok, I've got you." And you did. You help my husband, my daughter, and you anchored me so steadfastly through some really tough waters until we could bring our baby home. You kept me hopeful and helped me tune out the noise. In those early days of postpartum, raw and vulnerable, you're the one who crawled into bed next to me and made me feel safe. You listened. You have helped me heal past trauma, find my voice, regain my confidence and navigate such crazy times. You are a gift to this important work. Each of these mothers, partners, and babies will be better for it; coming into this world with this kind of support, passion and love.
