She is also a Lamaze Childbirth Educator, Birth and Postpartum Doula, Certified Passenger Safety Technician, and AHA CPR/BLS Instructor. Her education includes 3 Associate Degrees (Science, Sociology, and Psychology), a Bachelors of Science (Maternal Child Health with a focus in Human Lactation), and is working on a Master’s in Health and Wellness. Jennifer’s specialties include but are not limited to oral tethers (tongue, lip, and buccal ties), milk supply concerns, latch difficulties, weaning, flange fit/pumping, food allergies, induced/relactation, and infant weight concerns. We interviewed several other candidates and Jennifer was the hands-down favorite of both my partner and I. Her good humor, organization, and moral support helped give us an amazing birth experience. From the beginning she guided us through a birth plan that suited our values while accounting for emergencies, and shared tools for laboring. Once contractions started, Jennifer was with me and my partner at home and at the hospital, helping me stay focused and calm through every contraction. She also took some wonderful photos! Postpartum Doula Services
I was lucky to have Jennifer as my postpartum doula. She was a life saver for this first time momma! She was flexible with her schedule since I was unexpectedly taken in for a c-section and needed her sooner than planned. She is able to give educated advice. If she did not know an answer she has a large network of doulas and doctors that she works with to get you the answer you need. She is unbiased. Though your parenting choices may differ from her own she fully supports whatever the momma chooses to do! She is thoughtful. She is sensitive to a woman’s emotions and hormones before, during, and after birth. Her postpartum hours do not expire and can double as baby sitting if needed down the road and not used initially. She is also a lactation consultant and is extremely helpful with those needs. I met Jennifer initially because she taught multiple parenting classes at our local hospital. I knew if the hospitals trusted her I could too! She is quirky and funny! She is original and unique! She is also a mother of 5 and has been through it all herself. She is selfless and gives her all. She has an abundance of life experience. I’d highly recommend Jennifer! So much that I bought my best friend a gift certificate of hours with Jennifer!
